Congratulations to Student of the Week – Jose Aviles!

Congratulations to Jose Aviles for being our Student of the Week for May 7th-14th!
Jojo was praised by teachers and staff for continuously doing work and turning in assignments on Google Classroom. Jose has also been active in our weekly Trauma-Informed trainings, Student of the Week assemblies, and ASB Zoom meetings. In the beginning, it took some time for Jose to realize that he had it in him to achieve what he has so far. There has been a significant improvement this past year. He is stepping it up and is one of our model students right now. We are so proud of you, Jojo!

Trauma-Informed Training with Dr. Brinell Anderson

On Friday, April 24th, students at Del Mar had the opportunity to participate in the first of five sessions of a Trauma-Informed workshop by Dr. Brinell Anderson focusing on the traumatic effects of COVID-19 in students, families, and the community.

History Day

Our 2019/20 History Day Team has done another outstanding job this year of developing an amazing presentation. Due to school closures in response to the Coronavirus, the LA County physical competition at San Gabriel High School on 3/14 has been cancelled. The Los Angeles County Office of Education are going to have schools submit their projects online and will notify of us the results at the end of March. We are so proud of our team, Mrs. Kloster, Cecilia Venegas, Salvador Batres, Angel Calderon and Joshua Polanco. They are awesome.
Please go to the Video link just below to see a video of their full performance. We wish them the best in the LA County Competition and then on to Sacramento for the State finals. GO DOLPHINS!!!
