Congratulations Student of the Week, Karla Martinez

Congratulations to our Student of the Week for February 4-8, Karla Martinez.
Karla was chosen by her teachers because she has made so many positive changes since she has come to our school. Before Del Mar, Karla was a student who did not feel comfortable attending school. Since enrolling at Del Mar she has blossomed into a student who participates in her classes, who interacts well with her peers and who is a very contentious student who works hard to complete her work with quality. Karla has found a home at Del Mar and we are so glad that she has joined our family!
Congratulations Karla, we are very proud of you!!

SGUSD to Present Workshop on Vaping, and Drug AwarenessTuesday December 18th at 7:00 at Gabrielino High School in the Goodson Theater.

On Tuesday December 18th, the District will be sponsoring a workshop for parents to alert and inform them of the dangers of vaping. The workshop is presented by Impact Canine Solutions who is the company who conducts our canine searches. Vaping is a trend that is filtering down to students as young as elementary schools. There is a high percentage of teenage students who "vape" tobacco products and other liquid based products including marijuana. We would love to see all parents at Gabrielino High School, this Tuesday at 7:00 pm in the theater. There will be the presentation on vaping, and an opportunity to see examples of vaping products and other related items and to ask questions.
Please click on the headline at the top of this article to open a link to the informational flyer regarding the workshop.
