Caine's Arcade was inspired by then 9-year-old Caine Monroy who built a cardboard arcade made out of boxes and every day objects in his dad's auto parts store in East Los Angeles. We wanted to re-create that experience for our Del Mar students to tap into their creative minds, while also building a fun experience for our elementary students. Since we were not able to host Caine's Arcade this year due to school closures, we would like to showcase the arcade games our students put so much effort to this past year through this media. They spent every day perfecting and creating them. From a Dancing Jungle to a Rainbow Coin Toss, here are just a few of the amazing creations from our students. They are certainly bummed to not be able to see the elementary school students enjoying and having fun with them. Dolphins, thank you so much for all the hard work you have put into this project. We love and appreciate you. Thank you to Ms. Villaseñor and Mrs. Kloster for making this video, and Mr. Sellers for having fun playing the games!
