Community College Information

Because the classes at Del Mar do not fall under the A-G requirements, our students are bound to go to community/city colleges (CC's). CCs have the benefit of saving students and families money because of lower costs. Community colleges allow students to get their Associate of Arts and Associate of Science degrees, professional certifications, and an opportunity to improve their transcript/GPA to transfer to a 4-year university. A lot of the community colleges around the area have guaranteed admission to various 4-year universities as long as they meet the academic requirements. If the student transfer to a 4-year university, they will only need two more years to get their Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science degree. Some of the CCs our alumni have gone to are -----– Rio Hondo College, Pasadena City College, East Los Angeles College, and Glendale Community College. Half of our staff got their careers started in a community college!
